Product Manager


SocketLabs is a fast growing global SaaS email infrastructure company located in southeastern PA and serving the world for 12 years. We are seeking our first Product Manager to establish and run a successful Product Management process at SocketLabs. The ideal candidate is an independent, self starter with the necessary experience to carry out this mission and fulfill the responsibilities.


  • Development of a successful product management process
  • Determining customer needs and desires through continuous communications such as surveys and running a customer advisory board community
  • Identifying and aligning with other leading software vendors and partners where unique partnership and integration opportunities exist
  • Determining market needs, desires and opportunities by conducting research
  • Assessing competition and fully understanding and communicating all points of comparison
  • Recommending new products and/or features based on research, opportunity and alignment with company strengths
  • Product strategy
  • Creating and maintaining a 24 month product roadmap
  • Production, delivery and communication of release notes
  • Working with Stakeholders, UX, QA, BA and development leads to build detailed product specifications and requirements to pass on to development
  • Managing product development timetables
  • Ensuring that the end product meets expectations
  • Ensuring that product copy and documentation are clear, accurate and appropriate
  • Introducing new products or features by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and production
  • Determining product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; assessing competition


  • 5+ years of software product management experience
  • Works independently and learns quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with agile development
  • Ability to write epics and user stories that clearly articulate a design
  • Self starter and independent learner
  • Ability to work diplomatically with leaders across different departments such as marketing, sales and service
  • Good organization, presentation and communication skills
  • Experience working with customers to understand user needs
  • Ability to work full time in office at our headquarters (this is not a remote position)
