New Suppression List Removal Process for Complaints

This morning we released an update to the SocketLabs On-Demand Control Panel with a new removal process for addresses suppressed due to a complaint. You now have the ability to remove any user from your Suppression List without any interaction with SocketLabs Support Team, making it easier than ever to directly manage your Suppression List.

As you can see in the screenshot to the left there is new a “Remove” button next to a complaint’s details on the suppression list page.

Clicking this “Remove” button will bring up a form to begin the removal process.  You can utilize the form to generate a message to the selected address allowing the recipient to opt back in to receiving messages from you again. This email sent to the selected address will contain a link which, when clicked, will verify the user’s desire to receive your messages again. It’s never been easier to process a removal for customers who accidentally marked items as SPAM.

To make sure the customer is aware of who the message is from we allow you to specify the “From Name” and “From Address” as you can see in the screenshot on the right. Please make sure that the address you supply is able to receive messages in case the customer responds with any questions. Please note that the address will be visible in your Suppression List until they have verified their desire to opt back in. There have been no changes to the removal process for hard failures, only complaint failures. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback about the new process be sure to contact SocketLabs Support by emailing [email protected].
